Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Canadians throw away almost 3 millions+ tonnes of plastic waste EACH YEAR, and about one-third of the plastics used in Canada are for single-use / short-lived products and less than 10% of plastic used in Canada gets recycled. Among them, a portion of the waste comes from our daily kitchen. For example, single-use Saran wrap and plastic food storage bags. Do you know that more than 5.52 million Amercans used 10 or more rolls of plastic wrap in just 2019? Do you know that American families use more than 500 Ziploc bags on average each year? It is indeed shocking. Single-use kitchen products like these are extremely difficult to recycle and therefore one of the biggest factors of plastic pollution, and not to mention money spent each year.
